Introduction
The environmental setting determines various aspects about individuals who inhabit that particular environment. The environment has a way of shaping the physical appearance and the lifestyle of the people who inhabit it. The environment tames man in general to take cognizance of various opportunities that the environment presents (Haviland, W.A, Prins, H.E.L, Walrath, and D & Bunny McBride, 2010). The environment according to experts greatly shapes the ideals that form the components of a particular culture. The environment normally relates with the occupants according to how the occupants treat the environment. This statement is in tandem with the common environmental slung mother ‘nature has struck back’.
The Khoisan
The Khoisan people are confined to central and northern Kalahari. The Khoisan are Africans who as many anthropologists point, have maintained the original traditions identifiable with their ancestors. The Khoisan people can simply be described as people who have defied all modernization odds to faithfully cling to their culture (Ruhlen 1994). Infact one worldwide culture survey conducted sometimes last year noted the Khoisan was one of the tribes in the African continent, whose people have defied all modernization efforts to penetrate into their cultural practices. The Khoisan are viewed as people living in ways consistent with the Stone Age tribe and survivors in the contemporary world (Barnard 1992). The Khoisan live in harsh environmental conditions coupled with survival hard ships not seen in the recent past. The Khoisan perform various activities in an organized manner exposing their organized traditions. The hierarchy and communication protocols among the Khoisan are always followed to the latter by community members. The decision making structures and organs are respected by the subjects (Wandibba & Thuranira, 1994).
